   School Fee Refund Policy

  1. Withdrawal Deadlines
  • Before the start of the term: 100% refund of tuition fees.
  • Within the first two weeks of the term: 75% refund of tuition fees.
  • Within the third and fourth weeks of the term: 50% refund of tuition fees.
  • After the fourth week of the term: No refund.
  1. Non-Refundable Fees
  • Application Fee: Non-refundable.
  • Registration Fee: Non-refundable.
  • Admission Fee: Non- refundable
  • Annual Fee: Non-refundable
  • Deposit: Non-refundable, unless the student withdraws before the start of the term.
  1. Refund Process
  • To request a refund, the student must complete a Withdrawal and Refund Request Form available at the Registrar’s/ Account’s Office.
  • The completed form must be submitted to the Registrar’s/ Account’s Office either in person, via mail, or via email.
  1. Prorated Refunds
  • Refunds for students withdrawing after the start of the term will be prorated based on the number of weeks attended, according to the deadlines specified in Section 1.
  1. Special Circumstances
  • Medical Withdrawals: Students withdrawing due to serious illness or injury may be eligible for a prorated refund upon providing medical documentation.
  • Family Emergencies: Students withdrawing due to a family emergency may be eligible for a prorated refund upon providing appropriate documentation.
  • Military Deployment: Students called to active military duty may be eligible for a full or prorated refund upon providing deployment orders.
  1. Refund Timeline
  • Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the approval of the Withdrawal and Refund Request Form.
  1. Financial Aid Considerations
  • If a student received financial aid, any refunds will first be applied to return funds to the financial aid program in accordance with local and state regulations. Any remaining refund balance will be issued to the student.
  1. Third-Party Payments
  • Refunds for fees paid by a third party (e.g., employer, scholarship) will be issued directly to the third party, unless otherwise specified by the third party.

    DAY SCHOLARS NOTES

  1. A notice of withdrawal must be given one month in advance by a written application from parents. Failure to do so will entail payment of fee for the period in lieu of notice.
  2. The school office must be intimated of the latest address for correspondence or change in phone numbers.
  3. In case tuition fee is not paid consecutively for two quarters without intimation, the child’s name will be struck off the school records.
  4. If a child’s name is struck off from school rolls due to non-payment of dues or long absence, 50% admission fee will be paid by the student on re-admission along with pending dues.
  5. Fee once paid, will not be refunded.
  6. There shall be a yearly increase in the school fee upto 8% as per guidelines in “The Bihar Regulation of Fee of un-aided Educational Institutions Act”.

   BOARDERS NOTES

  1. No withdrawal is allowed during the session (after admission). If the child is withdrawing or requesting to to be converted as day scholar during the session, then boarding fee will not be refunded.
  2. Security money will be refunded within a month after receipt of withdrawal notice. However, it will lapse to the school in case the payee does not claim it within one year.
  3. The school office must be intimated of the latest address for correspondence or change in phone numbers.

By adhering to the fee rules and regulations of Doon International School, parents, and students can ensure a hassle-free and uninterrupted academic journey. These rules and regulations help create a conducive learning environment and allow the school to maintain its high standards of academic excellence.

  1. The fee can be paid in two, half-yearly installments as per school rules and regulations.
  2. Fees can be paid either by cash at the school’s Accounts Office or by Demand Draft / Bank Transfer / RTGS in favor of DOON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Purnea. Please mention the Scholar Name and Number while depositing the Fee at the Bank. Parents must Email the Accounts Manager at accounts@dispurnea.com or info@dispurnea.com after depositing the Fee.
  1. Once the student has been accepted for admission all payments are to be made immediately to confirm the admission.
  2. The submission of ‘Application for Registration’ form and/or Registration fee does not guarantee admission.
  3. The existing students on ‘Term Payment Plan’ shall pay the fee by end of March every year for the 1st Term and by end of September for the 2nd Term every year. Late fee of Rs. 500/- per week shall be levied in case of delayed payment of dues.
  4. The School fee is reviewed annually and the same shall be applicable to all students.
  5. Security Refund Policy: Security deposit is refundable without any interest, on demand, once the student finally leaves the School. Any arrears in the account of the student will be adjusted from the security deposit.
  6. Withdrawal Policy: If a new student is withdrawn or does not join before the start of the academic year i.e. 01st April, Registration and Admission fee shall be forfeited in favour of the school and balance will be refunded. Uniform/books fee shall be refunded proportionately depending upon the services/items availed. In case of withdrawal after the start of the academic session, entire term’s fee shall be charged /forfeited in favour of the school. Before withdrawing it is mandatory to give a minimum of 3 month’s notice in writing (only on the prescribed format available on the school website/admission office).The withdrawal form should be filled only by the parent and be submitted to the admission office only. No verbal/ telephonic intimation will be entertained. School Leaving certificate (Transfer Certificate) will be issued only after clearance of dues and payment of amount(s) in favour of the school.
  7. Parents are prohibited to have any cash transactions directly with wardens/teachers/school staff. The school does not take responsibility for any such payments. All monetary transactions are to be routed through school Accounts Office only.
  8. All fee deposit receipts must be duly collected by the parents/guardians at the time of paying school fees and kept safely for future reference.

  Terms and Conditions for Online Fee Submission

– Online transaction charges are not part of the Fee. The following transaction charges shall be applicable:

Net Banking / Credit Cards / Debit Cards : As applicable – All Fee rules as given in the Fee Book shall remain applicable.

– The Fee deposited through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking will normally reach the Nrps account after 1-2 days. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that fee is deposited well in time. Nrps shall not be responsible for any not settled fee payment due any reason. The Nrps also shall not be responsible, if the payment is refused or declined by the credit/debit card supplier for any reason.

– Doon International School Purnea does not warranty the availability of online Fee Payment System every time. School will not be responsible for fine exemption if the last day student fee transition fails. We strongly advice that submit the fee through Offline or Online Payment System before the last fee day comes.

Refund / Cancellation Policy :

Technical issue

In case of any technical issue due to which the payment gets deducted from the payer’s account and does not show in our official ERP but the payment gateway service clearly mentions the confirmed settlement thereafter the School’s account receives the payment. We manually submit the payment in our ERP. It should take 7-10 working days for the payment to be credited in School’s account.

Multiple Payments Case:

If double payment happens and the payment gateway service clearly mentions it, the school will refund the payment after the School’s account receives payment. Which should take 7-10 working days for the back payment or we can adjust the amount to the next month fee as per Payers request.

Other Payments Case:

In all other cases where there is a discrepancy in the fee paid, the parent has to directly contact the School and the School’s decision would be final.

  1. In Case of New Admissions for a New session

Fees are deposited at the time of admission and subsequently, withdrawal is initiated before the start of the session, parents shall be required to make an application in the prescribed form to the Head of School regarding the refund of security deposit and composite fee.

  1. Admission Fee shall be non-refundable.
  2. Security Deposit, Composite Fees will be refunded if paid.
  1. In Case of Mid-Session Withdrawal

(a). Application for withdrawal shall be in the prescribed format and submitted to the School Office one month before the date of withdrawal.

  1. Admission Fees shall be non-refundable;
  2. For the student who has paid the full quarter fee, the fee is to be charged up to the end of the month, the student has attended classes and remaining proportionate fees for the quarter to be refunded along with the security deposit

   FEE REFUND POLICY

We, at Doon International School, Purnea, do everything possible to assure your satisfaction with our schooling system. However, in case a student is unable to pursue her/his studies with us, for reasons whatsoever, wishes to withdraw from (or leave) the school and initiates a fee-refund request, the following FEE REFUND POLICY is applicable:

  1. We provide a no-questions asked 100 percent refund (except Enrolment Fee, which cannot be refunded under any circumstances) for the FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER ENROLLMENT before the beginning of the session.
  2. Only those students (parents/guardians) who have chosen the One-time Payment option are eligible for any refunds, subject to other terms & conditions being met/satisfied. No refund will be processed if a student (or parent/guardian) has chosen to pay in instalments.
  3. Refund request must be initiated within 90 days of payment from the day of orientation (the day of orientation is counted as day 1). No refund can be claimed after completion of 90 days of enrolment. Days imply Calendar Days and are calculated on a 24-hour basis, irrespective of time zone.

The student (or parent/guardian) must send the notice of cancellation via email at support@internationalschooling.org with the subject as ‘Request for Cancellation’
